We asked Nuvera employees for their favorite, most useful, or most frequently used apps. Their picks include ways to keep track of the weather, save money and even send documents straight from your smartphone.

It is a weather application that displays animated weather radars around your current location. It allows you to quickly see what weather is coming your way. Most weather apps have radars but you have to scroll or dig to get to it where this one is available with one tap. My favorite part is that it will set off an alarm if an watch or warning happens in my area, even if my phone is on silent.

As a working Mom there are many times that I think of something that is needed at a store and this way I can just plug it in to my phone and then I will have it with me then I get there. You can also organize a list as well.

I like CamScanner! If there is a document I need to email someone and don’t have access to my printer/scanner, I use the CamScanner app to take a picture of the document and send it off.

The MLB Ballpark app is awesome because it gives you the ability to upgrade your current tickets from within the app for a small price. So, if you have tickets to a game in the upper deck, you can upgrade to get better seats within an hour before game time. It also has a map of the stadium, points of interest and ballpark eats. A great app for the baseball fan.

Saturday I am hosting an outdoor bridal shower and I have been going into this application daily to watch the % for rain that day. As we all know, Mother Nature can change her daily sun to showers with short notice. If the forecast is 50% or higher, we will move the shower indoors. Looks to be 20% chance of showers so we will prep the yard for a fun day in the sun!!

You don’t really have to do anything and there’s pictures of the grandkids on there.

I use pocket to save and organize all of my favorite links. It is useful for saving articles that I plan on reading, or websites that I might find useful at a later date. Pocket will even recommend articles and websites based on the links that I have saved.

The thing I like most about SoundHound is that it provides words to all of my favorite songs as they are playing on the radio. It recognizes the sound of the music and identifies the song, then scrolls the words so you can sign along. It’s like your own karaoke! It also tells you about the artist and their albums, has videos, and more.
