As a small, single-focused college, MLC has unique challenges when it comes to ensuring their entire campus has minimal interruption in network service, speed or security for their approximately 650 students and 80 faculty. Having two redundant lines means that the college is connected through two separate network lines, coming into the college at different locations. If one line is damaged through construction or an act of nature, the other line automatically picks up the connection in a seamless transition. Nuvera, in turn, has a three-factor redundancy via a local hub, which further reduces the likelihood of any interruption in service.
“Going into a partnership with any company, we spend a significant amount of time in the discovery phase to make sure we understand their unique setup and the intricacies of their system,” said Nuvera Territory Manager Jeff Seidl. “We were able to work with MLC to determine the right fit for their network, at a cost that suited their budget.”
