Nuvera Begins Construction on New Fiber Network in Shakopee as Part of 2024 Gig Cities Service Expansion

Nuvera’s $200 million infrastructure project meets the demand for fiber-fast connection

NEW ULM, May 21, 2024– Nuvera Communications, Inc. (OTC: NUVR), a leading Minnesota broadband provider headquartered in New Ulm, Minnesota, will begin construction on a new fiber network in Shakopee beginning mid-June, as part of plans to expand fiber internet service into new communities.

Nuvera Gig City Community Construction Information:

Construction work markings: Nuvera will place main fiber lines in rights-of-way areas and mark areas where work is occurring with flags or paint. Once work is complete, all flags and markings will be removed.
 
Restoration of property: Once construction is complete, property restoration is a key priority for Nuvera. Restoration happens as a two-step process:

• Step one: Fill holes with sand to ensure the construction area is safe. This allows time for settling before final restoration.
• Step two: Work crews return and complete the site restoration after construction is complete. This will take up to one week. The final restoration includes filling the impacted areas with black dirt/topsoil and grass seed.
