Have a construction question or restoration request?

Fiber construction projects typically happen in the following order but may vary slightly.
- Site Preparation. Before construction begins, crews will mark utility lines in the area using paint and flags. Please do not remove flags or paint markings. Homeowners are responsible for marking any private underground systems, such as sprinkler lines or invisible fences.
- Mainline Construction. The main fiber line is placed in either the public right-of way or alley and then fiber pulled through.
- Drop Construction. Fiber is extended from the main line to individual homes. This step involves burying a line, or “drop”, and pulling fiber through to each address.
- Splicing. Fiber cables are joined together through a process called splicing and then tested to confirm the connection is strong and reliable. This step is done on both the mainline and the line going to each home.
- Installation. Once a neighborhood is fiber-ready, current customers and new customers that signed up for service will be contacted about the installation of their new fiber internet service.
Construction may cause minor disruption to your yard or landscaping. Crews will restore any impacted areas following construction.
