Nuvera Expands Fiber Network in Waverly to Additional Neighborhoods

NEW ULM, Oct. 7, 2025– Nuvera Communications, Inc. (OTC: NUVR), a diversified communications company, earlier this summer announced plans to expand its fiber network into Waverly. Nuvera is thrilled to announce an additional expansion area in 2025. See the map to view the three areas of fiber network development. 

Construction in this new area is scheduled to begin mid-October. With all three areas of construction this year, Nuvera’s fiber network will pass 653 residences and businesses in Waverly. Construction will continue in other areas of the community in 2026. 

The expansion plans are part of the fourth year of construction and deployment for the $200 million Nuvera Gig Cities project. Nuvera is funding 100 percent of the cost of construction in the community of Waverly. 

Nuvera’s build-out provides fiber-to-the-home connections with speeds up to 8 Gig with symmetrical service. Nuvera also provides business services including fiber-to-the-premise, voice, hosting and managed services. In 2025, Nuvera is managing approximately 30+ fiber projects in 13 communities across southern Minnesota.
