How do I enable SMTP Authentication?

iPhone/iPad

  1. Tap on Settings from your main screen
  2. Tap Accounts & Passwords
  3. Tap on your email account
  4. Tap on your email account again
  5. Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server and select “SMTP”
  6. Select the mail server listed under “Primary Server”
  7. Change authentication to “Password”
  8. Set the host name to smtp.nuveramail.net
  9. Set the username to your full email address
  10. Set the password to your email address password
  11. Click Done in the top right hand corner
  12. Click Account on your top left hand corner
  13. Click Done in the top right hand corner

Android

  1. Tap on Email
  2. Select your email address and tap on the 3 dots on the top right
  3. Click Settings
  4. Select your email address under Accounts
  5. Under Advanced Settings, tap Outgoing Settings
  6. Checkbox for ‘Require sign-in’
  7. Click Done

Outlook

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Account Settings
  3. Select the email account from the list and click Change
  4. On the Change Email Settings window, click More Settings
  5. Click the Outgoing Server tab and check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication option
  6. Done

MacMail

  1. Open Mac Mail
  2. Choose Mail > Preferences
  3. Click Accounts
  4. Click On your Mail account
  5. Click on Server Settings
  6. Under Outgoing Mail server
  7. Make sure your Nuvera Account is selected
  8. Enter your username
  9. Enter your password
  10. Hostname is smtp.nuveramail.net
  11. Authentication should be set to Password
  12. Click Save
